Hamlets Antic Disposition Essay -- GCSE Coursework Shakespeare Hamlet

Hamlets Antic Disposition In William Shakespeares famous tragedy Hamlet, the main disposition of the story is one majestically elaborated, aside from being quite complex. There are infinite volumes written about this character because Shakespeare leaves no firm make of many of his character traits. Yet on Hamlets magic disposition, meaning his obviously absurd temperament or fierceness, Shakespeare leaves plenty of reason to believe that it is feigned, meaning that it is entirely a ploy to help Hamlet carry out his plans for revenge. It is feigned, meaning that it is faked, merely put on as a faade. This is denoted in various aspects of his antic disposition. Hamlets antic disposition is self imposed, meaning that he himself decides to appear mad, assuming the antic disposition willingly because he thinks it meet. It is methodical because there is a system to it. He is able to turn it on and off when he has reason for it other characters in the play notice it and Hamlet himsel f states it. Finally, Hamlets madness is in like manner clever because it allows him to express himself and his thoughts clearly, and through comments full of wit that show his awareness of reality when he mocks other characters in their faces without their noticing. Therefore, Hamlets antic disposition is not true(a) madness rather it is feigned because it is self imposed, methodical and clever. Hamlets antic disposition is self imposed, meaning that he chooses to impose this disposition upon himself. He willingly appears to be mad in order to obtain all he wants. This comes up in the situation after Hamlet has seen his fathers ghost and is with Horatio and Marcellus. He, on this occasion warns them that he does think meet to put an antic d... ... and off at his will, being it a means for an end. This again, shows that the madness is feigned because true madness lacks method. Finally, the cleverness of his madness shows it to be feigned because he expresses his true opinions th rough the madness, being able to even mock others willingly, a characteristic that clearly renders his madness fake. Shakespeare lets us complete that his main character is mad through all these proofs he leaves behind. Yet there are many other aspects of Shakespeares Hamlet to be analyzed and discussed, exactly that you will not find here for they are elsewhere, in endless volumes of infinitely large libraries. The Revolutionary Aftermath of the Civil War Essay -- Racism Discrimin

The Revolutionary Aftermath of the Civil WarDespite many an(prenominal) hardships that remained from the antebellum state ofthe union, reconstruction was a socially and constitutionally revolutionaryperiod. The attempts to deter black voters were greatly outweighed by thenumbers of blacks voting, as well as the laws that were passed to protectthe rights of American citizens, black and white alike. The years after the war saw a rise in the number of human rights lawsthat were passed, most of which were earlier focused on blacks, butincluded whites as well. In document D, Gideon Welles stated that thenational government didnt hold the power to hand suffrage to anyone, norhad it shown any interest in the matter. Because of this, the stategovernments were able to enact black codes which restrained citizens, bothblack and white, from voting because they were illiterate or because theywerent of a high enough economic status. This later changed as blacksbecame more active in governmen t and voiced their upset to the nationalgovernment, as shown by Document C. B...

Teaching Evolution in Public Schools Essay -- Essays on Teaching Evol

Many groups have tried to push their ideas on the public through schooling. Public school students, numbering in the millions, seem a perfect, mantled audience for the promulgation of the ideas of a a couple of(prenominal) self-righteous groups. These groups have tried to influence national thinking by promoting their views in the classroom, but this is not an welcome method. A public school classroom is a place for the passing of accepted knowledge from an instructor to a student, not the place for the ideas of the ignorant few to influence the thinking of the many. Emily Dickinsons The Goal :: essays research papers

Emily Dickinsons "The Goal" discusses her theory that each human being leads each day striving to obtain i specific destination. She theorizes that each individual longs to fulfill one specific achievement whether "expressed" to others or is "still" (l. 2) and locked into the individuals heart.Dickinson says that it is an inevitable part of human nature to stretch forth this way, whether we believe so or not, and have not been able to recognize the specific theme of our life as it is "admitted scarcely to itself" (l. 5). She speculates that we attempt to cover our ambitions from others because we wish "credibilitys temerity" (l. 7) and are scared that we are less accomplished than we should be to even imagine so great of expectations. She also brings out that not altogether are we wary of sharing our dream to others, but we ourselves approach it "adored with caution" (l. 9). Even though we ourselves doubt our ability to achieve the extent of our dream, Dickinson says that the set ahead away and the less attainable, the more desirable of an objective it becomes. She says that we chase after our destination like someone chasing after "the rainbows raiment" (l. 11) which we continue to pursue for its steady and the pot of gold, even though we know that it is only an appealing myth and the end of the rainbow does not truly exist at all. She compares our faith in achieving our goal as someone reaching "a brittle heaven" (l. 9) and living their lives in blind faith that they will ultimately achieve that goal. We all live our lives in part expecting to achieve utopia and to see the face of God at our death, but occasional we question the rationale of this hearts desire. We do however have to believe on the basis that without that belief, living a moral life and having a supernatural relationship would be ludicrous without that end reward of sitting at the feet of our maker. Likewise, we should live our lives with a mortal goal and faith that we will achieve it. If we approach our earthly desires in this manner, we will be more disciplined, and will look to to achieve this goal with all costs. Dickinson says that we should be inspired by "the saints slow diligence" (l. 15) who have gone before us all working towards their goal of spreading the gospel and doing good works.

Renoir and Mayo Art Comparative Analysis Essay

While both Renoir and Mayos art are similar in that they are both from earlier time periods, they are different in culture and where each scene from the painting takes place. Renoirs painting is a French impressionism, while Mayos is contemporary American folk art.Renoirs piece, Juenes filles au Piano, was painted in 1892, during the 19th century. In this piece, two girls are sitting at a piano. Renoirs piece shows a wealthy like atmosphere because there are fancy curtains, a nice couch in the background, and the two girls are playing a piano meaning they are wealthy enough to have the privilege to play such an expensive object. The mirror image on both the girls faces look determined, as if they are practicing for a very important piano recital, but also look quite tired of practicing the alike sheet of music for hours.Meanwhile Mayos piece is Contemporary American folk art instead of a French impressionism. Even though Mayos piece, Just Visiting, was painted in 1991, one can see it as an old vintage painting with a rural setting. The lighten up in both pieces of art is very different, Renoirs oil painting has dark, faint, smooth colors. Mayos lithograph has bright, light colors. Though Renoir and Mayos painting are very different in numerous shipway, they are also very similar. Both pieces show the different culture and wealth of the pieces. The ways the people are dressed in both painting are also very similar. In both paintings, the characters are wearing long dresses, on the nose like the ones people wore back in the day when there was no electricity or motor vehicles. While both Juenes Filles au Piano and Just Visiting are similar in the time periods, they are different in meaning and culture.

How does the author make Lennie a sympathetic character? Essay

In Of Mice and Men John Steinback makes Lennie a sympathetic character by his description of his character as easily as his physical appearance. Lennie is also revealed by the author through the other characters perceptions of him and how Lennie interacts with them. Lennies attitude and actions are non the same towards all the characters in the story. He gets on well with some of the characters in the story and with some he doesnt. The first impression the reader gets of Lennie is ironically his size. He is described as opposite to George with a huge man, shapeless of face, with large, pale eyes, with wide sloping shoulders and he walked heavily. But we are contradicted in this. John Stienbeck uses descriptions of animals to describe Lennie. When he drinks water from the mob his action is described as snorting into the water standardised a horse. When he moves and walks he is described as a bear when it drags its paws.He is described by John Steinbeck as a rattling simple chara cter who has the innocence of a small boy who doesnt know how a great deal harm he is doing to the rat or in Lennies case to Curleys married woman. When Lennie and George are on their way to the ranch, Lennie shows his innocence when he says I wont get in no trouble, George. I aint gonna say a word. After he kills the mouse, he says I wasnt doin anything wrong with it, George. Jus strokin it. From the first part of the story when the autor gives us the physical description of Lennie, we see Lennie is a gentle giant whose strength is way far forth ways his brain.Although Lennie is described as being im manpowersely bullnecked and physically big, his actions reveal a gentle, friendly person underneath. He has a precise balmy character because whenever Lennie makes George angry, he gets upset like a small child. Steinbeck describes his actions as those of a a terrier, he says this when he refuses to bring the mouse to George, he is like a a terrier who doesnt want to bring a ball back to its master. He is also described as a sloven and like a sheep. Lennie covered his face with his paws and bleated with terror. Another example of when he acts like an animal is when he growls back to his seat. When we read that he is cuddling the pup, it tells us how much me loves animals and when he kills it he doesnt kill the animal on purpose because he doesnt know how strong he is, When he doesnt know his own strength I was only petting it. Another occasion is when Lennie crushes Curleys hand and then later on he says, I didnt wanta hurt him. At one point he acts like a child who gets attracted to things he likes, for example- the pup and Curleys wifes hair when she asks him to move his hand over it. When he likes something, he sticks to it and doesnt leave it because he doesnt know how much harm he is doing to it. So, Lennie is a friendly person who doesnt understand how strong he is or the consequences of his strength. Therefore, Lennie is described as a simple person w ho has low news but also a very strong person.Another consequense of his simplicity is that he depends on George to help and guide him over small things. He ask George to take care of his work permit. Lennie cannot differentiate between things which are right and wrong and needs George to help him with that. For example, Lennie doesnt realise that Curleys wife is a seductive woman and he often verbalises to her. But he stops speaking to her after George tells him that Dont you even take a touch sensation at that bitch. I dont care what she says and what she does.but I never seen no piece of jailbait worse tan her.He makes him understand that and tells him not to speak to her. He makes him realise that she isnt the right type of woman to talk to. Another consequence is when Lennie is drinking water from the pool and is told off by George to not to drink from it. He says because its scummy. He treats him like a child and needs to be told every moment to what to do and what not to d o like when he drinks the water from the pool, George tells him You gonna be sick like you was last night. This tells us how much care George has for him because if Lennie falls sick and if he dies, then in that location wouldnt be anyone for George to be with as during the Great Depression, the ranchers used to be alone with come in any friends. George didnt want that to happen.Due to Lennies lack of erudition the other farm hands treat him differently and sometimes, Curleys case, crudly. He doesnt get along very well with all the members of the farm, for example with Curley and his wife. Curley hate him from the first time because He hates big guys. When Lennie crushes Curleys hand, we are pleased that, in Lennies grasp Curley was flopping like a fish on a line, but Steinbeck does not write fairy tales where good triumphs and evil is punished. In the cruel reality of life,it is Lennie who will be destroyed and Curley who will continue to scourge anyone who threatens his ego. T he same thing is also with Curleys wife because he wants to obey to what George told and he tells her I aint supposed to talk to you. Slim describes him Lennies jes like a kid. There aint no more harm in him than a kid neither, except he is so strong. This tells us that he is as harmless as a child and he can be harmful when it comes to situations where he cannot survive in a world of cruelty, selfishness and contempt. Throught the story, he is described as a sympathetic person in loving terms. When he says hes a nice fella. cuckoo dont need no sense to be a nice fella,it tells us that he enjoys the company of Lennie and he gets along well with him. He treats him and listens to him like a kid. Lennie always wants to be with someone. For example when George leaves him and goes to the bar, he cannot be by himself. The only person whom he knows who doesnt go out is Crook because he is regarded as a nigger by the farm hands. The people in the farm regard him as that all black men are cr ooks. He is different from the other farm hands because the farm members treat him as an outcast as he is black. Therefore, from what I ready read and analysed I can say that George stands as a father for Lennie as he takes care of him, serves him food, tells him the difference between right and wrong. As a consequence of all these factors, the final scene is heart breaking for the reader when George shoots Lennie. He himself chooses to shoot Lennie because a father would quite a shoot his son himself rather than let anyone else shoot him. He tells Lennie to go over and tell him about the dream while he aims the gun behind him to shoot him. This is a very sad and controversial scene because Lennie is dreaming about having his own farm where he can tend his favorite animals like the rabbits, rats, etc whereas George goes through a very bad moment in which he has to shoot his best mate. Lennie himself doesnt know that his best friend is going to shoot him.

The first is the problem of throwing things outdoor(a), because in fact when we throw things away, they do not just go away. The things that we throw out stay here on our Earth, soiling our precious and finite earth and affect its well-being. The second problem that they discuss the the painful product that are used, which not only have negative impacts on our planet, but also on ourselves. In this book the authors urge us to develop from nature through bio-mimicry, an effort to design buildings like trees, cities like forests. They also challenge us to look at ants and the role they play in the world and their self-sustaining way of life and to learn from them. Ants are able to inhabit a diverse a range of environments, are able to hunt, scavenge, and grow their profess food, build their homes, effectively handle their wastes, create powerful medicines, and produce biological and chemical weapons, all the while contributing to the health of the natural world. We live on this earth less-ef fectively than ants and should look to their way of living as a role model for how we as humans live on this earth. McDonough and Braungart offer some of their own suggestions for way that we can live effectively with the Earth in mind, such as rooftops covered with soil and plants that serve as natural insulation, non toxic dyes and fabrics, their flow overhaul of Fords legendary River Rouge factory, and even the book itself, which is printed on a synthetic paper that does not use trees. While creating an last solution to our environmental problem is a very involved and complicated ordeal, McDonough and Braungart do offer some simple solutions to help cut down on the harm we are causing our planet. One things that we can do is to cut out all chemicals and substances that are harmful and destructive both to humans as well as the environment. Also they discuss how we must abandon our current provenance to grave way of thought and adopt a cradle to cradle way of thinking, meaning t hat we need to consider where the products and its packaging will end up after we are finished with it. When creating a product we need to jump to understand and think about where it will end up after the consumer is done with it. We must think about how our waste can be reused in order to cut back on unnecessary waste and contamination of our planet.McDonough and Braungart in this book urge us to start looking at our inefficient ways and see how it is harming our own selves as well as the environment and see that we must adopt a cradle to cradle way of thinking in order to save our planet and use the finite resources we have in a smart and truly eco friendly way. After reading this book I examined the wasteful way in which I live my own life, and when I think about how I live and times that by 6,973,738,433, its hard to fathom how much damage we must be doing to our planet. Our resource, clean air and precious earth are limited but humans are consumers and dont consider much past our own immediate wants and needs. After reading this book I see how important it is to move away from cradle to grave thinking and truly take on a cradle to cradle way of thinking and see the long term effects of our consumerism. This book should be read by everyone because it gives a clear and simple way to see how we are living now, and then how we should be living in order to help save and protect the planet that we have been given.

Politics and Education Essay

Education can develop the personality of a person not physically but mentally as well. An ameliorate person can look at a certain issue from various perspectives. A politician has to control over a large society therefore, he needs some extra ordinary skills and the first thing which can make him distinguished, is his qualification. Education can increase his communication and speaking skills. A politician is a social member and his interactions with people are frequent, therefore, he needs maturity and sensibility in his talk and behavior. This is certainly possible with decorous education. A politician is the representative of a nation and he should be the perfect person by all means and education plays an important parting in making anyone perfect to a massive extent. But then, I dont necessarily commemorate that they need to have degrees in a particular field but broader understanding would certainly help. They must have minimum qualificationthey need to be knowledgeable and must understand the laws.Politicians like Abraham Lincoln set an example of people who had no real formal education and look at the jobs they did and the leadership they offeredIt is true that there have been great leaders who were uneducated, Kamaraj in India, for example. But, such gems are a rarity. In life, compromises must be made. Until an intelligent and foolproof plan exists for electing such gems from the public, we must resort to what is best(p) for the common man. An educated person is more likely to do a good job as a politician than an illiterate person.Education is a process that makes people more humane and teaches them a lot about the country, how to express themselves through effective communication and so on I think the only key thing they need to be educated in is the Constitution and process of government. A lot of the early leaders of the country were not well educated even for the time. Some foundation of knowledge is beneficial and they definitely need to b e able to reason and learn. They need leadership quality, ability in speech, integrity, sincerity, honesty and purity in whatever actions they take for development of country.

Air pollution economic case for enviromental regulation

IntroductionEconomic development and prosperity takes place, several times, coupled with contamination of the urban environment. This situation is be in economics as an externality, which is an effect from one activity which has consequences for another activity further is not reflected in market prices. When these consequences argon the generation of external costs they are defined as negatives. This is the bad-tempered case of air pollution. For mannikin, Pollution represents an external cost because damages associated with it are borne by society as a whole and are not reflected in market transactions.(Koomey and Krause, 1997)Despite the fact that stricter controls were put into exercise in the last years, and the observed reductions in pollution, air pollution remains as a joint concern among countries.Externalities correctionsThere are four major measurable examples to correct this problem which are Property Rights, Regulation, Taxes and subsidies, merchantable Permits.Al though it works in few cases, small groups, if property rights are correctly defined it may evacuate the problem, e.g. if a firm owns the right to clean air and can charge people for using it. var. pollution regulations were strengthened by enactment of the Air Quality Act in 1967, which introduced a regional approach to air pollution control and has been has been increasing in the last years, E.g., limits on vehicle emissions, controls on allowable factory emissions, smoking bans. The problem on this measure is that does not encourage change in technology uses or new technology developments.Taxes and subsidies, for example differential taxes on carbon emissions, has the benefit that the social club that produces contamination pays, thus encouraging technology change and being more efficient. At last, salable permits are a number of permits issued according to a total limit of output pollution. They may be auctioned to the highest bidder, expiry to companies that can not reduce p ollution easily. The Clean Air Act is a well-known example of the application of the marketable permits technique.ConclusionControlling air pollution is a difficult task, plenty of trade-off decisions. Many measures pass on been taken to stop the problem, but many of them have proven to be inefficient. It seems that taxes and subsidies are the best measures but this might be introduced slowly into the market, thus giving time to firms to adjust their production methods. Hence is that marketable permits are a validate instrument to go together with taxes in the meanwhile.ReferencesNorberg, Johan. In Defense of spheric Capitalism. Publisher Cato Institute. Causes of Road Accidents in Malaysia Essay

The Causes Of Road Accidents In Malaysia Time to time, half a million of Malaysians died because of pass fortuitys and the highest cases of route accidents atomic number 18 caused by the number one woods behavior, equipment failure and the street conditions and infrastructure. Because of the route accidents umpteen an new(prenominal)(prenominal) people subscribe to abide their family member or close friend. Besides, the path accidents also may effected to government when they have to localization for the broken infrastructure that caused by the accident like lamp stand, avenue divider, cleaning people blood from the road, and m all more.It also pull up s takingss give a traffic jam for a while to all drivers. jibe to Road Transport department research (2002)Accident casualty and deaths by vehicles for Malaysia 2000-2006, the number of road accidents increased to cd cases and it decreased in 2006 that was only astir(predicate) 600 cases (21,600 cases) had been reporte d. The first thing that contributes to the intellectual for the road accidents that sink in Malaysia is the drivers behaviour. Humans are always do mistake and not careful. When a line or cast-off(prenominal) thing gives, they tend to blame somebody or something else for what they have done. Most people that get an accident hope the separate party regard could have done something different to avoid the accident. According to The Royal Malaysian Police, PDRM (2006) report saying that 90% of accidents happen from this reason. Moreover they also mentioned that speeding also has caused quite a number of accidents. Actually, until recently many drivers, especially male driver took the chance of night time in effort in federation and state roads. PDRM, (2006) reported the faster speed of a vehicle, the greater the happen of an accident.Speeding, even if the vehicle going five miles per hour over, in the incorrectly place at the wrong time, it can bring death to somebody. Speedi ng is also based on the traffic on an area, road conditions, weather and lighting. When driver speeding, they had to risk their lives when had to alert about what condition leave they face. Despite all major(ip) highways have speed trap, it still cannot prevent drivers to speed and get into trouble, such(prenominal) an accident. In addition, haphazard driver are an separate drivers behaviour that caused the road accidents. This factor is the highest factors that drivers get involved in road accidents. virtually drivers not only speeding but also drive recklessly, breaking road rules, does not have their vehicle license and beating traffic lights. Moreover, drivers either man or women cannot prevent to be negligent driver. The main cause that driver become un careful while driving on roads are talking on a cell phone, eating, falling asleep, boredness, driving under the influence of alcohol and so on. Because of the small mistake can caused a big problem to others who using the r oad o involved in the accidents. However, the most important cause of an accident is aggressive driver behaviour and selfish attitudes. From e-how, described, undecomposed standards are manufactured for modern cars by engineer to minimize the effect of accident. The aggressive driver behaviour and selfish attitudes are the most impossible thing to crypticalen. The examples of aggressive driver behaviour and selfish attitudes are aggressive tailgating, failure to signal, and failure to use the right way side. Aggressive tailgating happen when you follow in front of other vehicle too close. With two vehicle drive too close in high speed, there will be a vast accident if unexpected thing happen on the road, such as animal crossing the road and required front vehicle staunch immediately or evade from being crush into the animal. Furthermore, failure to signal when taking left or right road at the corner of the road. When this happen, other vehicle does not know which way you compulsi on to go either left or right. Especially forbidding vehicles, they do not see where you expect to turn if you does not turn on the signal light from your vehicle. There also a lot of problem happen if driver do not use the right way side, it will see other driver mad. When they angry, they will flash light at the back of your vehicle, because of you drive to slow also in wrong way side of the road. Other example is every festive season, like Chinese saucily Year, Hari Raya Aidilftri ,Deepavali, Christmas including New Years, Malaysians especially, always excited of going back to their village or better known as balik kampung. With the excited feeling of going back to their home towns, we can see many of them and their family trying their take up to reach home quickly as they can. Thus they will become selfish and does not care about their safety. Some of them will take express bus to arrive at their home to avoid driving a car at night. But they will be unlucky if they get self ish and careless driver bus attitudes that always take the wrong side of the road which should not used by heavy vehicle just want to reach the destination early. The most the endanger transportation is heavy vehicle like bus and lorry because they are big and easy to smash small vehicle.Other than that, many selfish motorcyclists who did not followed traffic rules and fastened safety helmets properly. Another factor that listed as one of the causes of road accident is equipment failure of a vehicle. From smartmotorist. com, it state that the most important types of equipment failure are loss of brkes, tire blow outs or tread separation, and suspension failure. Thus, with all exception of the recent rash of Firestone light-truck tire failures, reckon the innates that less than 5% of all motorvehicle accidents have reported equipment failure accounts. All drivers should drive with perfect car condition. So, in front drive any vehicle, they have to do some conformation. They requis ite to check their vehicle to shake trustworthy if it safe to drive or not. As example, they must check the condition of water, brake, battery and lamp always be in good condition. There are some drivers that never take care of this problem. They feel it is a small matter to think about the problem and can do it later at any time. They do not care about the safety factor of their car.Such as they do not change the worn out tires, when it was worn out, the vehicle absolutely cannot grasp tightly the road summon perfectly. So, it will be more dangerous if in rainy day situation, it because the stranglehold between tires and road surface will be more weak than sunny day condition. There are so enlighten that worn out tires can caused the accident easily. Besides, there are many people cannot accept a fact that almost nine million vehicle in this country involved in road accident because the using of illegal equipment which gain the welt level. The amount of that vehicle is about 80 percentage from the 11 million of the vehicle in our country. The president of Persatuan Pemilik kenderaan Bermotor Malaysia (MOVA), Ahmad Zaki Arifin said that more than half from the driver in our country face the risk to involved in accident and death about this behaviour. Although, the other reason that caused the accident is the road conditions and infrastructure. Usually, the road will become danger in rainy day. It will make the road become more slippery for the vehicle to handle. In addition, many potholes could endanger motorist (Road Transport Department, 2002). It because, deep hole can make motorist cannot control their vehicle and will cause the accident. It become worst if it involved with the motorcyclist. The un flat surface of road also can make a nightmare for road user. It because, the road user cannot see the hole while driving. Most accidents that involved pothole problem happen during night time, because at that time many driver could not recognize the hole wh en they driving.Other than that, wanting(p) and unbecoming of street light, also caused the accident. Usually, The street lights are hard to find in village area. So, the authorities should take care the village area too. In some place, the street light cannot be used by people because the street light is already broken and not repaired by authorities. In other case, the light of traffic light also lead us to road accident, interstate highways remain safest road because their draw of traffic is in one direction and complete with traffic light. Many case of accident caused by insufficient of traffic light such as there are no traffic light at one road that always full with vehicle and the effect is it will produce a huge traffic jam. It will become worst when some drivers do not think about other road user and drive in high speed when taking a corner or change to the other side of road. However, roadway identifications sign also play the role to make the road safe for road user. I t useful to inform road user to locate and know the road condition, such as the location of landslide, school location, hospital and many more.If the driver was informed properly the accident will not happen easily. It is possible that motorcyclist also ask specific lane for them. They should be separate from other big user like car, lorry, bus and other type of transport that bigger than motorcycle. It will make them more safe and secure from unwanted accident. In conclusion, driver behaviour and the equipment failure of a vehicle, as well as the road conditions and infrastructure seem to be causes of road accidents in Malaysia. To reduce the total amount of road accident, first thing that should we do are change our attitude. In addition, we also need to be alert about our vehicle condition and always check them. The rate of road accident in our country today has become a nightmare for all of us. So, the authorities may need to do a drastic step to overcome this worst problem. The y need to use their power to serve up the best road conditions and infrastructure for us. We need to realize that our live is most valuable thing. Drive safety and safe our soul.

Communication Methods Essay

Drugs ar constantly under scrutiny from various institutions. The removal of medication is dearly-won in product and re setation. However, it is important that withdrawal of a drug, which may affect the safety of unhurrieds withdrawal from the commercialize, is imperative. Usually this prompts unexpected adverse effects that were not detected during clinical trials and app atomic number 18nt from management of the data from the patient community. The scenario outlined involves the removal of medication from the shelves of hospitals, drugstores, and individuals home. It is imperative that chat reaches the masses in a concise and timely manner. The different types of communication be verbal, non-verbal, written and visual. Verbal communication simply involves personal communication with another or group of people or communication over the telephone. For verbal communication, success requires the sender and receiver obtain what is required to make communication effective. When communicating verbally tone, dialect, and language are important factors (Cheesboro, OConnor, Rios, 2010). Non-Verbal communication involves communicating without words. Non-Verbal communication ultimately ties in with verbal communication, without even disquisition your body language, eye contact, placementure, and facial expressions are all communicating. Cultures also outlive with non-verbal communication. Cultural difference exist in the way people greet each other, what gestures mean, how far or how close to stand when interacting with someone and so forth (Cheesboro, OConnor, & Rios 2010). Written communication involves writing letters and emails. Written communication skills are just as important as verbal communication skills. Last, there is visual communication and the word-painting is through some form of visual aid such as signs, drawings, power points, graphs and many others. When exploitation visual communication verbal and written communication may be involved ( Chessbor, OConnor, & Rios, 2010). intercourse has advantages and disadvantages and traditional communication is lock in the number one form of communication to use if clarity is a primary factor. Traditional communication usually accommodates formulation to face or over the phone. When communicating face to face you always receives the opportunity to interact in a back and forth discussion. The use of non -verbals, facials and gestures maybe an advantage to some and a disadvantage to others.Disadvantages of traditional communication burn d sustain be that conflict so-and-so be more intense and difficult to diffuse. Electronic communication is more prevalent alone it still has its pros and cons. Many companies depend on electronic communication because cultivation delivery occurs within different locations. on that point are also people that travel on their job and have no choice entirely to communicate through electronics.not only is electronic communication fast and conve nient it is the source of communication which allows for the responses and flexibility in replying. Despite the many advantages of electronic technology in the workplace, there are probable disadvantages including, the possibility of decreases patient safety, and breach of confidentiality (Broussard 2013). Many caregivers or physicians have mobile devices usually supplied by their organization. The maintenance with phones at ones use at all time is the employee focus on displace a text or responding to an email versus delivery the appropriate care to the patient. Confidentiality concerns can come just about form a simple phone conversation where names may not be spoken, but enough patient history and information is more than enough details. There is also the use of language. being precise and complete is necessary when sending any form of electronic message (Cheesboro, OConnor, & Rios, 2010). think basic grammar and formatting can go completely wrong. A professional email can go very unprofessional fast especially if the sender fails to review it prior to pressing send. With this concern comes the major issue of decrease in patient safety, possible violation of the HIPPA, patient safety, and breach of confidentiality.. Social media plays a major part in daily life for most people. Many advantages and disadvantages come along with employ sociable media especially in a health care setting. First, the use of social media depends on the organization. Not every health organization is equipped or in need of the use of social media. However, when an organization does choose to use social media advantages can be the use of improved communication. Employees and others can discuss post and view new ideas and plans for the company (Society for Human Resources, 2012). There is an opportunity to gain more clients and reach a wider range of people especially if the organization is worldwide. Marketing opportunities are everywhere on social networks.Disadvantages can be employees misusing the social network. Potentially results in negative comments from employeesabout the company or potential court-ordered consequences if employees use these sites to view objectionable, illicit or offensive material (Society for Human Resources 2012). Technology is not perfect tense and is still prone to malfunctions. There is also the possibility of virus or hackers to come about when organizations are using social media. When a health organization uses social media it is important to have basic rules and mandate set in place to help ensure efficiency versus misuse. In the health care world, patient confidentiality is a primary concern. HIPPA is what help to nurse patients personal medical information.Electronic and social media communication use in health care communication enforces patient earnest and adherence to vocalise Commission guidelines and rules. Maintaining confidentiality, however, is becoming more difficult. It was easy to ensure the protec tion of individual silence when files are in paper folders. It was not a perfect method, but it worked because information is powerful and it must be easy for all to review. Information systems and other technology now allow instant retrieval of medical information, along with widening access for a greater number of people (McCall, 2000).The use of electronic and social media communication will ultimately affect HIPPA, because these forms of technology evolve in the health care world the HIPPA justness must also transform and change continuously protect patients (McCall, 2000). The HIPPA law is in place to protect patients and although communicating through social media or any other form of electronics. The use of these forms of communication does put the exposure of private information risks. However, it is important for every health care organization to have their own set of rules and regulations to help prevent exposures. Each entity engaged in electronic transmission of health information must assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to the individual electronic health data. Organizations must develop, implement, maintain, and document appropriate security measures based on the risk assessment (Peterson 2001). In conclusion, health care and communication go gain in hand. Traditional communication is still at the forefront in health care when it comes to efficient communication. Electronic communication is very convenient and necessary when it comes to many different job types. Lastly, social media helps to market and bring in new ideas to the health care field. Overall, Traditional, Electronic, and social media willcontinue to play a part in health care communication. As health care evolves communication, as well privacy and security methods must evolve as well.ReferencesBroussard, B. S., & Broussard, A. B. (2013). Is College Debt To Much Essay

Everyone who wants to go to college is a good deal faced with the same fact, how will I reach? Students often go with the options of taking bestows, after very much consideration and research, research sometimes based on canvasss written by authors. Even though Carey and Wilson both address the debt college could put someone in. Wilson provides a more convincing argument due to the fact that he gives more information on statistics of disciple loans, more information about loans, and an unbiased opinion. Before you nonplus a big decision you should always know the risks and benefits. One way to ensure you make a good decision is, if possible look at statistics. In the essays Why Do You Think Theyre Called For- Profit Colleges? by Kevin Carey and A Lifetime Of Student Debt? Not Likely by Robin Wilson they both take different approaches to using statistics about student loan debt in their writing. Carey does not use some(prenominal) statistics making his condition harder to re present and his material credibility questionable. Carey states that, The University Of Phoenix is on pace to reap $4 billion from federal loans (Carey 216).This is one of the only times in his phrase Carey mentions how much colleges make from loans. He then says Unfortunately, a large and growing number of graduates of for-profit colleges are having trouble paying those loans back (Carey 216). Although Carey says its a large number of graduates that have trouble paying loans back he does not guide any statistics to confirm it, which makes his information questionable. On the other hand Wilson uses an abundance of statistics in his article which makes the article easy to understand and a trustworthy source. According to Wilson, Of the 65 percent who face debt, the average they owe is around $20,00Andrews 2(Wilson 257). Wilson also gives statistics on the amount of debt difference between undergraduate and graduate degrees, and prevalent and private schoolsgraduates. Just the uses of Wilsons statistics makes me certainize that debt is a manageable and wouldnt overwhelm my life. The next point that really set these two essays apart was the amount of information given about loans. In Careys article he gives very little information about loans in general. He really just implies that students taking large loans are what are making for-profit colleges so profitable. He fails to give us information about why loans are needed, and what loans allow peck to do. Un standardised Wilson who again gives us pot of material to see the pros and cons of loans. Wilson covers topics alike(p) interest rates, and borrowing risks. He also includes stories from peoples real life describing their personal success and struggles with student debt. These personal stories really helped me connect with Wilsons article and understand the pros of taking loans. The last point that set these essays apart was the amount of bias in the articles. I matt-up Careys article was extremely biase d towards one man named Michal Clifford. It shows Clifford as almost a monster. Carey says, Entrepreneurs like Clifford, meanwhile, have been snapping up dying nonprofit colleges and quickly turning them into money making machines (Carey 216). I on the other hand do not think its Clifford fault. He is just doing his job, and it seems hes doing a very good job at it. One way or another the student has to pay for college and its going to be fairly expensive in this day and age, and I feel like Carey is just trying to put the blame on someone. Although Wilson acknowledges that there are some problems with students loans and some people will have a difficult time paying them back, I think he wrote a very fair and unbiased essay.Andrews 3There are always two sides to every level and multiple ways of looking at things, as shown in these two essays both discussing student loan debt. Although these essays both challenged my mind and gave me new insight on student loan debt, I thought Wilson s essay was much more to the point. Also he included so much more in reasonableness information that made the article interesting ,knowledgeable, and meaningful.

When a stock broker is affiliated to any stock broker firm, the firms objectives should reflect standards of success in financial and competitive performance, as well as acceptable levels of risk and rates of long-term addition (Roney 2004). The broker then is expected to present plans and interventions on the tasks and the resources to be utilised in achieving the predetermined goals. The deprivation of formal planning or poor planning process and ability can decrease individual as well as organisational performance (Baird et al. 1993).According to most authors (Roney 2004 Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson 2003 David 2002 Matthews and Scott 1995), managerial strategic planning minimises the emf negative consequences of lack of formal planning or poor planning (i.e. uncertainty). The success of several organisations and flock rely on the outstanding ability to plan, evaluate and materialise arrangement in connection to the transaction of goals. Organising is the ability of putting similar elements following one or more rules (Morgenstern 1998). Generally, it includes the specification and distribution of tasks to appropriate components (e.g. people, departments, etc). It is also the assignment of authority and allocation of resources. The practice of organising is crucial in developing inputs to planning, making planning decisions, and implementing strategy. To be effective, however, comprehensive management function in the business must be done in a continuous pattern (Hornsby and Kuratko 2005 Roney 2004). Yet, it is argued that the organising process that is to be conducted within the firm or among the individual is dependant on the plans that must be implemented. On the case of a stock broker, organising includes the development of coordinated efforts and interven tions oddly in theperformance of prescribed duties and eventual execution of deliberate goals set ahead of time. This is highly needed to cope up with the soaring demand of clients and the industry itself. Directing or leading involves the execution of in run away and organised activities and interventions for the achievement of predetermined goals (Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson 2003 David 2002).The task of directing or leading is also connected to other organisational situationors such as the clients, the firms budget and assets, and all other firms resources (Roney 2004). Furthermore, it is further to adapt participative approaches to directing/leading in order to elicit useful characteristics and elements that are useful for the individuals and firms success level. Also, the development and execution of appropriate lead style is a vital determinant of effective directing or leading process. In the stock broking industry, it is still organic to study the practicable directin g or leading applications to be implemented in accordance to the achievement of individuals and organisations most important motives. Coordinating is the regulation of all the versatile elements needed in the achievement of set goals. It is the integrating and establishing of linkages to diverse elements in order to accomplish proportionate operations and execution of plans (Hitt, Ireland, and Hoskisson 2003 David 2002).Coordinating includes the effective flow of confabulation. dialogue is the link to successful execution of plans and achievement of objectives because it serves a number of fundamental functions (Brown 2001). Among these functions include the management of data and information, its flow, and so on. Surveys focusing on areas of improvement among corporations state that communication usually ranked as key element within the organization (Harris 1993). Eckhouse (1994) suggested that communication serves four major functions within a group or organization including c ontrol, motivation, emotional expression, and information. Communication is needed in a stock broker career because of the presence of constant group meetings and ap levelments with different groups and types of people.Controlling is the task of management in the course of providing positive controls on the efforts of various elements of the organisation such as people and financial resources (Witzel 2003). It has been demonstrated that the emphasis in successful management lies on the man, not on the work (Gilbreth 1914 cited in Witzel 2003). According toGilbreth, the mans mind is a controlling factor in efficiency, and has, by teaching, enabled the man to make the most of his powers. A stock broker must be able to control the future of every transaction so as to uphold the premeditated individual as well as organisational goals. Every action is planned, organised, directed, and coordinated towards a general consensus. The future of every business deal is reliant on the ability of the stock broker to minimise potential hazards and increase productivity. Thus, controlling and all the other management functions mentioned above are relatively important.StrengthI recognised myself as mortal who possesses the strength of the task of coordinating particularly on the case of communication. Petit, Goris and Vaught (1997) noted communications function is essential for cases like allowing employees to conduct meetings, make memos, provide feedback and share corporate-wide information. I believed that the previous exposures and experiences that I gained help me acquired this core competency. Good communication skill was gained from giving presentations at seminars, supplier and customer service transactions (e.g. issuing clear and concise instructions, advising and assisting customers, etc). I am also used at working on team projects particularly during my course. This involved different roles, which have developed my impeccable negotiation and persuasion skills. Consi dering the significant role of communication in stock broking, coordinating is among the basic ingredients of my professional success. I also believed to the drop over effects of effective coordinating function like the development of teamwork and successful working relationship. Teamwork is also attributed to the positive effects upon the psychological health and well-being of organisations member (Carter and West 1999). Through effective communication, people are motivated to work in unity and towards the achievement of individual and organisational goals alike.WeaknessFirstly, it is in erudition knowledge which I think I dont have right now. I do have the knowledge of a stock broker but I am not a specialist.Secondly, I tend to be little imperious sometimes. So, this kind of attitude reflects as my weakness in terms of directing or leading. Leadership is an important aspect of management. As stated by a few authors (e.g. Cohen and Brand 1993 Hyde 1992), management requires lea ders full participation and involvement instead of designating individual groups who will shoulder all the responsibilities. Furthermore, this also helps in creating a sense of commitment and loyalty (Hill 1991).I presumed that I am the opposite of a favoured leader. I am dictatorial which means I tend to be overly manipulative and domineering. I was engaged in an argument in my previous job placement out of my domineering attitude. This attitude hinders the development of harmonious relationship or esprit de corps among colleagues and most importantly on the part of potential clients. I recognised the need to learn a leaders style that will be instrumental on the achievement of my intended career role as well as the development of other important values useful in my future as stock broker and person as whole.OpportunitiesI have plenty of opportunities in this specific subject. In fact I have the world. The scope of learning here in United Kingdom is better than my home country. I am also active in this business right now and dealing with one of the biggest stock brokerage firm in Europe which I think that is one of the most learning experience I am having in this business ever.ThreatsThe most common and important threats in this business are the uncertainties, competitors and future world situations.REFLECTION ON MY SKILLS DEVELOPMENTWe all know that fact that knowledge is power. So I think that I have to study more and more about the subject to gain more knowledge so that I can handle all the situations happens there in a stock exchange individually. While I recognise my limitation of being an autocratic leader, I learned to lessen my domineering attitude and improved my leadership style. In the business point of view, good leadership proves to be quite beneficial as aids in effectively meeting job-related demands, creating higher-performing teams, fostering renewed loyalty and commitment, increasing motivational level, and reducing absenteeism and turnover of employees (Drucker 1995). From the last incident which I had in my last job with one of my subordinate, I considered having a reality check on my leadership skills from autocratic to democratic or being friendlier.I gradually changed from domineering to accommodating leader. By doing so, I am able to listen on other peoples voices and study the situation ahead giving my personal judgments. I should have been more lenient to the new employee. With this experience, I learned that autocratic attitude is not actually relevant particularly in working with teams because it hinders the development of teamwork among team mates. Thus, I needed to reconsider other leadership style as option. Now, I will take all the opportunities whatever comes to my way.As my knowledge is growing day by day regarding this business, I think that I can make the best use of my opportunities. I hope, I can handle the threats as well. In this case, I should have proper knowledge about my competitors I should be more analytical while predicting the future business situations. So, from the above discussion, it is clear that what a personal development plan is and how to develop it. rise analysis is a vital exercise for personal development plan. The examples given here in this assignment are based on my own life experiences and future plan.ReferencesBaird, I. S., Kuratko, D. F., Lules, M. A. & Orris, B. B. The Commercialization of Football - appointment ExampleThe English Premier League is one of the most luxurious sporting leagues in the world.
